“Hong Kong, China – Woo Leung Lee Founder Woo Chi Wing Memorial Fund” (hereinafter referred to as “the Fund”) was initiated and established by Mr. Michael Woo, a member of the 13th and 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), to commemorate and carry forward the legacy of his father, the late Mr. Woo Chi Wing, founder of the “Woo Leung Lee” brand, by actively practicing the original intention of public welfare.

Brand Origins: A Century of Integrity and Heritage

The “Woo Leung Lee” brand traces its roots to Chaozhou, China, and was officially founded in Hong Kong in 1960 by Mr. Woo Chi Wing. It is now a registered trademark in both Hong Kong and mainland China, with core registration numbers including 7138796, 30658768 (jewelry and watches), and 60610658 (financial and property management). Since its inception, the brand has upheld the ancestral motto of “credit as the foundation, loyalty and sincerity,” starting as the first Chinese-owned Asia-Pacific general agent for the renowned Italian brand UNO-A-ERRE. It gradually expanded into jewelry brand management, international OEM services, and e-commerce, earning a strong reputation in the industry.

From the 1990s onward, the brand adapted to the times by expanding into international financial asset management, advancing mergers and acquisitions in finance and real estate across the Asia-Pacific and North America. It later diversified into high-tech venture capital and financing, evolving into a multi-sector group enterprise contributing to industry development and economic vitality.

Fund Mission: Reverence for Heaven and Love for People, Inheriting Goodness

The Fund is guided by the principles of “reverence for heaven and love for people” and “impacting lives with life,” deeply commemorating Mr. Woo Chi Wing’s diligent, pragmatic, patriotic character and his heartfelt concern for society. Based in Hong Kong and extending across the Greater China region and overseas, the Fund is committed to supporting social welfare organizations, disadvantaged groups, and individuals in need, covering areas such as cultural heritage and livelihood care.

Practice and Vision: United in Kindness

Since its establishment, the Fund has actively mobilized forces from all sectors of society to practice public welfare. In cultural heritage, it co-sponsored the Chaozhou-Shantou cultural program “A Rough Guy in Shantou” with the Hong Kong Chaozhou Chamber of Commerce, using mass media to tell compelling stories of China, Chaozhou-Shantou, and overseas Chinese communities, promoting cultural integration between the mainland and Hong Kong.

At the same time, the Fund follows Mr. Woo Kin Kong’s philosophy of “uniting hearts and benefiting livelihoods,” focusing on grassroots needs and continuously providing support to vulnerable groups.

Looking ahead, the Fund will continue to leverage the industry experience and social resources of the “Woo Leung Lee” brand, uphold a humble and pragmatic spirit, deepen cooperation with social welfare organizations at home and abroad, and make sustained efforts in education support, cultural promotion, and livelihood care. With modest contributions, it aims to give back to society and support Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability as well as the broader national development.
